Badlabecques: Little Green Shoots

La nouvelle chanson dé Badlabecques entouor Pliémont.
Badlabecques' new song about Plémont.

Notes on some of the Jèrriais words:
  • Lé Bêtchi = the beacon (placename at Plémont, recalling the site of a signal fire - the prehistoric flint site also adds to the fire/spark imagery)
  • radgîn = blazing fire
  • Pliémont - the meaning of the name is obsure, but one theory is that it means the folded hill - hence "This hill enfolds the past"
  • huthe = head/headland
