collaborateur, n.m. = F. It's during the Occupation of the Islands by the Germans from 1940 to 1945 that this term became known and even infamous. There were collaborators to be found, as always in wartime, but the great majority of those guilty were foreigners by origin, second generation Bretons, Irish, English, etc. Very few true Jersey people indulged in such underhandedness.
