Once again the National Trust, with the help of many volunteers, will be working to produce approx 350 jars of Black Butter which will be sold, still warm and fresh, throughout the afternoon at the Genuine Jersey Market on the Saturday of this hugely successful event. Enthusiastic and committed volunteers work tirelessly to chop and peel over 1300 lb of apples and continually stir the mixture for 25 hours. The whole event has a fantastic community feel with everyone, no matter what their age, getting stuck in.

  • Friday 26th October, apple peeling/stirring from 10am onwards through the night, evening entertainment and food.
  • Saturday 27th October, jar filling between 11am and 1pm (approx), Market Day 10am to 4pm, Pumpkin Carving throughout the day (until the pumpkins run out) plus other activities.
