Ayiz eune jouaiyeuse et bouonne Fête dé Noué - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

Badlabecques Release New Jèrriais Christmas Song As Free Download

Jèrriais version of ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ available
via the band’s website from today (11/12/14).

Pop-folk band Badlabecques have recorded their own unique arrangement of the seasonal classic ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ made popular by the likes of Frank Sinatra, though with a special Jèrriais twist. The song was translated by Geraint Jennings of L’Office Du Jèrriais and can be streamed and downloaded from www.badlabecques.net - along with their previous Christmas album from 2013 which features ten other tracks.

Lead singer and founder of the band, Kit Ashton says:

“This song is an oldie but a goody, and hopefully gets that cosy Yuletide atmosphere… like the musical equivalent of a nice warm Christmas jumper! It’s a free download so it’s available to all, and also a gesture of goodwill and gratitude to everyone who has supported us this year. Mèrcie bein des fais à tous.”

Badlabecques will be performing a ‘Christmas Special’ at the Farmers’ Inn, St. Ouen, on Saturday 20th December at 9pm. Free entry.
