Thée et asseûthance - Tea and insurance

Cup of tea (High Speed Photography)-MJFrom the criminal assizes of 5/9/1904 - a case in which it was alleged that the defendant fraudulently offered life assurance alongside the sale of tea. In the report of the trial in the Nouvelle Chronique de Jersey of 7/9/1904 there are fragments of exchanges in Jèrriais between advocate and witness as follows:

- Vendu? Nan!

L'Avocat Pinel: Oh bein, le thé 'tait-i bon?
