Badlabecques au Pèl'rinnage

Hièr l'arlévée coumme nou l'fait châque année, un fliotchet d'monde lus dêhalîtent pouor l'Pèl'rinnage dé Saint Hélyi. Lé solé lithait et ch'tait la fête des tchoeurs à l'Hèrmitage. Y'avait un moment d'Jèrriais duthant l'sèrvice. À la fîn d'l'arlévée nou sèrvit des rafraîchissements dans eune grande tente sus la bliête du Châté, où'est qu'les anmîns Badlabecques èrlévîtent les tchoeurs ès pèl'rîns atout des chansons Jèrriaises. Tchi bouonne arlévée!



As usual, the Saint Helier annual Pilgrimage took place yesterday. There was a moment of Jèrriais during the service, so many people wanting to get into the Hermitage that a queue had to be marshalled, and plenty of sunshine. A marquee on the Castle lawn provided refreshments both physical and musical: Badlabecques put a spring in the pilgrims' steps with some Jèrriais songs.
