J'happ'thai tan mâtchîn

J'happ'thai tan mâtchîn;
ches hardgieaux êbézouis
tch'ont fait mêché
sus mes fielles dé parchémîn.

Your shapely machine,
shiny, huge, and busy,
chuffing a mixture
of muffled persimmon.

Y'a ches plieunmes-chîn;
chenna clioge en bliâsant
à tchu-faithe en êmoûqu'sie,
à m'calfaîter b'samment.

I'll chase both choices,
in-between ways;
together we'll have
half a love to amaze.

J'cach'chai tan tchoeu
lé tou des bouais
atout ma have,
sans l'happer janmais.

I'll catch, you'll chew
these two dazed boys
who have misbehaved
in leafed pyjamas.

J'happ'thai tan mâtchîn;

This is a macaronic circular poem in alternating Jèrriais and English verses. As an experiment, each following verse picks up sounds (or maybe images) from the preceding verse, and crossing back and forth between the languages a word-game develops. Naturally, it's nonsense, but the nonsense comes back on itself - in principle, one could start with any verse, go through the poem and come back to the verse with which one kicked off.

Né v'chîn les lîngnes rarreunées pouor mus mouontrer l'êcalopp'thie d'vèrset en vèrset:

Here are the lines rearranged so as to better show the development from verse to verse:
