soûffl'ye = breath
A suitably seasonal addendum - the source is La Chronique de Jersey 25/12/1912: lé Jour dé Noué! This is one of those words that people know and use, but for lexicographical purposes it's been very difficult to track down a literary attestation. Now we've found one - and since it's in a Christmas article, we can consider it a present for the dictionary!
