Wood Month: Who would guess that the woodland in Lower Normandy represents 168,000 ha of forests? The wood sector represents:- 9% of the Region’s territory
- Important diversity of tree species
- More than 14,500 workers
From 22nd September to 22nd October, more than 30 events will be organized all over Lower Normandy in order to make people aware of this special local gift of nature.

Mais la filière bois est malgré tout très mal connue du grand public et véhicule son lot d’interrogations :
D’où vient le bois ? Y a-t-il du bois en Basse Normandie ? Quel bois acheter ? Comment se chauffer au bois ?
Comment faire construire en bois ? Y a-t-il les savoir faire près de chez moi ?
Du 22 septembre au 22 octobre, dans le cadre du Mois du Bois, plus d’une trentaine d’évènements seront proposés partout en Basse Normandie pour faire connaître cette filière en développement.
