Now two complete Gospel texts from the Bible in Jèrriais can be found on Les Pages Jèrriaises. The text of the Gospel according to Matthew has been updated with the result that now the whole text is represented by translated text (at least once over). The Gospel according to Mark had already been translated in its entirety. (See this post for the completion status of translations of Luke and John) Although the Gospel text has been entirely translated into Jèrriais, that doesn't mean it's a single translation: Multiple translations of passages have been compiled - translations made by different people at different times, for different purposes, in different registers, dialects and spellings - and then the gaps have been filled in. Here are links to the text of the Gospel according to Matthew in Jèrriais:
Now the texts of John and Luke need finishing off. Any help gratefully received!
