Salutâtions tout l’monde. Last month’s meeting was brief being short on numbers but I can report that I had a great slide show of La Fête Nouormande from our Chairman.
The photographs from inside and out of La Halle were excellent, as were the weather, the food and wine... et nouos Compangnons Nouormands étout.
John reported that the performances were all very good and that the Section’s piece went down well. The highlight for everyone seemed to be Dr. Mari Jones’s learned presentation which was delivered fluently in each of ‘les langues’. If possible, maybe a copy would be useful for our records. Geraint also has a photographic record a selection of which might also be archived for posterity.
By Wednesday, we hope to have information about using the remainder of our budget to provide expenses for the typing of the much needed copies of some of Laurie’s work during the summer holidays. Information about publications is also forwarded.
Our next meeting is on this Wed. 3rd July at 8.00pm in the AM Room, when we shall continue with our work and may be improve our vocabulary.
