New material added to D's articl'yes et des nouvelles entouor lé Jèrriais 1800-1899:
...above all the continual chatter of the Jersey-Norman patois, are totally unlike anything to be found in England, but they bear an exact comparison with market-day at any little town in Western France. Perhaps it is not quite fair to speak of a Jersey-Norman patois, for the patois spoken on the quays and elsewhere in Jersey has beauties all its own...
