Les Fieillets Jèrriais.Mar, 2013.
Salutâtions tout l’monde, comme i’ fait un temps enn’yant! Thank you to everyone who attended last month’s meeting, the class game to improve our vocabulary went well and we managed to submit one or two pièches pouor Les Nouvelles Chroniques entouor ‘l’crînme ou les crînmes’ .
During the month we received a letter asking if ‘La Corbière’ referred to a particular rocky type of coastline, as it seemed to do in a part of La Terre Neuve. We replied that, here it described a place of the crows and not the rocky granite point, and is called La Corbiéthe)… which happened to be on the coast, and that maybe Judge Nablo had an example from Québec on mainland Canada.
Preparations are under way for La Fête Nouormande in Normandy this year, and discussions have started on the arrangements for it to be here in Jersey in 2014.
On the Congrès front, we are continuing to arrange events to raise funds, independently of L’Assembliée, and we will hold our AGM later this month. Any comments, observations and suggestions will be welcome.
Any more nominations for the award of Crapaud d’Or will also be welcome.
Our next meeting will be held on Wed. 6th March this week at 8.00pm in the AM Room at La Société for some more vocab. games, and to hear of the next composition title and deadline.
